To desire is to want something.To crave or to long for something with intensity. A strong desire is an essential requirement for success. A burning desire to be special and to do something extraordinary with your life.

Every sane person who attains the age of reason wants to succeed.But you will agree with me that it is not enough to wish for success.There must be a burning desire that translates into definite action,and action backed by persistence result in the achievement of God's plan for your life.

I have realized that God grants desire and not wishes.Psalm 37:4 says," Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desire of your heart".

I have realized also, that having a craving or appetite for something is proof of the existence of that thing. Hunger is proof of the existence of food.Thirst is proof of the existence of water.

The strong desire the Wright Brothers had to invent a machine that could fly was proof of its possiblity. The desire by man to land on the moon was proof that it could happen.Time has since proven this to be true.

If you have always had the strong desire to succeed,and to attain greatness,that desire was put there by God. God wants you to succeed.God creates desire in us for the things He wants for us. what do you want out of life? Are you satisfied with where you are now? Do you want to breakthrough to victory and abundance?Have you discovered God's plan for your life?

Have you really prayed for God to show you? If you know already,are you pursuing it with all that you have?

To succeed,you must want your dreams to be fulfilled, more than you want anything else.You must move towards the achievements of your God given dream with passion.let it become an obsession.Put all of your will power and prayer, all your energy and everything you've got behind that dream. That's where result will begin to come.

But first you must let the fire of burning desire burn in your heart, a driving force that cannot be stopped and a fire that cannot be quenched.

What are the proofs of desire? they are :
1.what you are willing to leave,and
2.what you are willing to pursue

First,what you are willing to give up. Psalm 1:1 says, "Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, or stand in the way of sinners,or sit in the seat of mockers" You must leave your friends that will not allow you to serve God.

And you must break off from bad habits, like cheating and lying, gossiping, fraud, robbery in any form, robbery with gun, a pen,or with your tongue.You must decide to stop doing things like you have always done them.You must decide to cut off from the things or people that draw you back.if you don't, it means your desire is not strong yet.

Secondly, what you are willing to pursue is proof of your desire. If you really want it, don't just talk about it.GO FOR IT.

Psalm 27:4 says, "one thing have i desired, and that will I seek after..."

If you really desire contract jObs,pursue them. Don't wait at home if you want a job, go for it untill you get it. If you want admission, go for it. But don't offer bribes, don't cheat, God will see you through. Don't just wish, take ACTION.

Do something about your dreams. Desire without pursuit brings frustration. Proverbs 21:25 says "the desire of the slothful kills him, because his hands refuse to labour"

Let a burning desire motivate you to accomplish your dreams. Such a desire will keep you going even in the face of adversity.

There is an enemy, called satan who does not want us to fulfill our destinies. He fights us with a strong desire. Our desire to succeed must exceed his wicked desire to stop us.
